Excerpt from Road Trip Rivalry
“She found the spot, A23, and approached, only to find a man sitting in the car. What the...?
She banged on the car window, then stepped back as Hot Guy—Kavan—turned to look at her. He broke out into a smile as she looked at her phone, quickly scanning the confirmation email from the rental company.
Yep, this was definitely the right spot.
“Um...what are you doing here? This is my car!” she demanded, stepping aside so he could open the door.
He unfolded himself from the vehicle, but not without bumping his head a bit—side effect of being so tall in a small car. Despite the incident, he had a slight grin on his face.
“Actually, this is my car.” He was calm and undisturbed by her demand, much the way he had been undisturbed by her need for the outlet.
She waved her paperwork at him and pointed to the number painted behind the parking spot. “I have A23.”
He, oh so calmly reached into the car and pulled out his paperwork, which indicated he indeed had A23. And he was already in the car.
He looked at her with those eyes and she started to sweat inside her winter coat. “We can share. We’re all going to Dublin.”
She paused and narrowed her eyes at him. “What’s the catch?”
He pursed his lips and did not quite meet her eyes. “You have to drive.”

EXCERPT FROM DETOUR TO THE GINGERBREAD INN:They really had no choice. They really just needed a place to spend the night and ride out the storm. They both got out as another bellman opened Naina’s door.
“Let’s go see what they have.” She donned her coat against the frigid air and led the way through the large front doors and into the lobby.
Christmas was everywhere. But it was more like leftover, almost dead Christmas. Trees, holly and pumped-in cinnamon and pine scents overpowered them as they entered. But the trees were dying, the scent was cloying and ornaments were scattered and shattered on the ground.
She stole a glance at Jais. His mouth was set as he glanced around with a wary eye. Was he remembering their Christmas?
She quickly focused in front of her before he caught her looking. Christmas had been their thing. But that was all in the past now. In any case, this was not the version of Christmas they’d shared together.
Besides, it wasn’t as if they had a choice. It was one night.
